A brand new aftermarket stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit on the Kawasaki KL Tengai and KLR 650. This assembly carries both the alternator windings that charge the battery and the source coil, and the pick-up coil is included, so the charging and ignition trigger sides of the system are renewed together. A tired stator on these bikes usually shows itself as a battery that will not stay charged, weak lights at idle, or hard starting and misfires.
The unit is wound with the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on highest grade lamination materials. It is plug-and-play and mounts to the original fixings using the original loom connector, so no cutting or splicing is needed. The connector, rubber grommet and pick-up coil are all included in the box. All products shipped are tested.

Does this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, using the standard mounting points and the original 5-pin loom plug. No cutting, splicing or modification of the harness is required.
What is included?
The stator complete with its connector, the rubber grommet and the pick-up coil. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
With the plug disconnected, measure between the yellow alternator wires, which should read about 0.8 ohms, and between the red and white source wires, which should read about 140 ohms, each within plus or minus 20 per cent. Readings far outside those values, an open circuit, or continuity to earth confirm a failure. A battery that goes flat in use and dim lights at idle are the usual symptoms.
Is the pick-up coil supplied with it?
Yes. The pick-up coil is included with this stator, so the ignition trigger is renewed at the same time rather than being transferred from the old assembly.
