A brand new aftermarket generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Kawasaki Ninja 250 R. The stator is the fixed winding inside the alternator cover that produces the AC current your regulator/rectifier converts into the DC supply which charges the battery and feeds the ignition, lighting and instruments. When the windings short, burn or go open circuit, the battery stops charging and the machine will eventually run down and cut out.
This unit is wound with the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on highest grade lamination materials. Fitting is plug-and-play using the original mounting points and the original loom connector, so no cutting, splicing or modification is needed. Connector and rubber grommet are included, and the opposite connector for the main harness side is supplied as well, because those are frequently melted, corroded or defective and are a common cause of repeat electrical faults. All products shipped are tested.

How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure resistance between each pair of yellow alternator wires. A healthy unit reads approximately 0.4 ohms, within plus or minus 20 per cent. A reading far outside that, or continuity between any yellow wire and earth, points to a failed stator. A battery that goes flat in use, dimming lights and a low charging voltage at the battery are the usual symptoms.
How long are the leads on this stator?
There are 3 wires running 180 mm from the stator body to the grommet, then a further 780 mm from the grommet to a single 3-pin plug, matching the original routing.
