This is a brand new aftermarket high output stator rated at 75 watts, built to replace the Kokusan unit fitted to a wide range of KTM and Husqvarna machines between 1997 and 2016. The extra output over a standard stator is the point of the part: on an enduro or motocross bike being run with lights, a heated grip circuit or a modern electric fan, a standard-output stator has very little margin left, and the 75 watt winding restores it.
Please read this before ordering. This unit is supplied without a connector and without a grommet - you must re-install your original connector and grommet, as shown in the product photographs. Once your connector and grommet have been transferred, the part becomes a plug-and-play unit, a direct fit, and very easy to install. The stator has four wires terminating in bare terminals with a generous 600 mm lead, so there is enough length to route it exactly as the original was routed. It is built with a higher grade of electrical components and wound with the highest grade of copper, insulated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, and every unit is tested before shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a straight plug-in fit?
Almost. This unit ships with bare terminals rather than a plug, so you must re-install your original connector and grommet first - the product photographs show what is required. Once they have been transferred, the part is plug-and-play, a direct fit, and very easy to install. No modification of the bike itself is needed.
What is included in the box?
The stator with its 600 mm lead and four terminals. A connector and a grommet are not supplied - both are transferred from your original unit.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure between each of the yellow alternator wires - a healthy unit reads about 1.2 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. Then measure red to white for the source coil, which should read about 28 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a short to the engine case, or readings well outside those figures confirm a failed stator.
What does the 75 watt output actually give me?
More headroom on the charging circuit. A high output winding keeps the battery topped up when lighting, a fan or other accessories are drawing current at the same time, which is where a standard stator on these models tends to run out of capacity.
