This is a brand new aftermarket stator supplied as a direct replacement to the original unit fitted across the KTM LC8 and LC4 range, covering the 950 and 990 Adventure, SuperMoto, Super Duke and Super Enduro as well as the 690 Duke and 690 Enduro. It is plug-and-play, a direct fit and easy to install: it uses the standard mounting inside the alternator cover and the standard single three-pin plug, so the failed original comes out and this one goes in with no modification to the wiring loom.
The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and the windings are the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. Charging faults are a well known weak point across these models, and heat is what does the damage, so the thermal rating of the windings is the specification worth paying attention to. A connector and a rubber grommet are supplied, along with an opposite connector for the main harness side so the other half of a burnt or corroded joint can be renewed at the same time. All products shipped are tested. The part reference is RMS010-103431.

Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement using the original mounting and the standard single three-pin plug, so nothing about the loom needs cutting or splicing. The part spans several models over a ten year period, so read the number off the unit you are removing and check it against 60039004000 or 75039004000 before ordering.
What is included in the box?
The stator with its connector and rubber grommet, plus an opposite connector for the main harness side. Renewing both halves of the connection at once is the sensible repair when the harness plug shows heat damage.
How do I tell if my old stator has failed?
Unplug the stator and measure resistance between each pair of the three white wires. Each pair should read 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent. Then check between any white wire and the engine case, where there should be no continuity. An open circuit, badly unbalanced readings between pairs, or a short to earth all confirm a failed stator. A battery that keeps going flat, or a warning light that appears as the electrical load rises, are the usual symptoms on these models.
Does it fit both the LC8 twins and the 690 singles?
The listed coverage runs across the 950 and 990 twins and the 690 Duke and 690 Enduro. The stator is dimensionally the same 104 mm unit in each case, but because the range is broad the OEM number on your own machine is the reliable check.
