This is a brand new aftermarket stator, built as a direct replacement to your original unit on KTM 150 XC-W and 200, 250 and 300 XC and XC-W models. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part with easy installation, so there is no need to splice wires, re-pin a connector or modify the standard loom in any way. The assembly is supplied complete with its pick up pulsar coil, its connector and its rubber grommet, which means everything that comes out with the old unit goes back in with the new one.
The stator is manufactured using the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, which are resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. That temperature rating matters on a hard-worked two-stroke enduro or cross-country engine, where the charging coils sit close to a great deal of heat and vibration. Every unit is tested before it is shipped. Typical symptoms of a failed original stator include a battery that will not hold charge, lights that dim or flicker as the revs rise and fall, a weak or intermittent spark, or a machine that runs only until the battery is flat.

How do I tell whether my original stator has failed?
Measure the resistance across the coils with a multimeter and compare the readings with the values in the specification table above: 0.6 ohms +/-20% white to yellow on the alternator, 100 ohms +/-20% green to red on the pickup, and 15 ohms +/-20% red/white to black/red on the source coil. A reading that is open circuit, shorted to the core or well outside those tolerances indicates a failed winding.
Will it fit both the XC and the XC-W models?
