This is a brand new generator stator (RMSTATOR part RM01058) supplied as a direct replacement for Polaris OEM 3087168, the charging and ignition stator used across the Polaris 500 range from 1999 to 2004 - ATP, Big Boss, Magnum, Ranger, Scrambler, Sportsman and Worker. Fitting is plug-and-play: the plugs, the pin count and the 900 mm harness lead all match the factory unit, so the machine's wiring does not need cutting or splicing.
It is built with the highest grade lamination materials and highest grade copper windings rated for 200 degrees Celsius. On these Polaris singles the stator sits inside the engine case where oil temperature and vibration are what kill the original, so the winding rating and the quality of the lamination stack matter more than they might elsewhere. Any winding that reads open circuit, dead short, or shows continuity to the stator body has failed. A battery that keeps going flat, dim headlights at idle or an intermittent no-spark condition are the usual symptoms.
