This is a brand new replacement stator (RMSTATOR part RM01052) built as a direct replacement for the original charging and ignition unit fitted to a wide range of Polaris utility and sport ATVs built between 1995 and 2004. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part - the plugs, the wire lengths and the mounting pattern all match the factory unit, so no cutting, splicing or modification of the wiring harness is required.
The stator is wound with the highest grade copper windings on highest grade lamination material, and the windings are rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. That temperature rating matters on Polaris singles and twins, where the stator sits inside the engine case and runs hot for long periods. The unit is supplied complete with its pickup pulsar coil, connector and rubber grommet, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Yes. This is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original unit. It uses the same plugs, the same wire lengths and the same mounting pattern, so no cutting or splicing of the harness is needed.
What is included in the box?
The stator itself, the pickup pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Test the windings with a multimeter and compare them against the resistance figures in the specification table above. On this unit the alternator legs should read about 0.4 ohms, the pickup about 115 ohms and the source coil about 450 ohms, each within plus or minus 20 percent. A reading that is open circuit, near zero, or shorted to the stator body indicates a failed unit. A battery that will not stay charged, weak or flickering lights and no-spark conditions are the usual symptoms.
Does it include the pickup pulsar coil, or do I reuse my old one?
The pickup pulsar coil is supplied with the stator, so you do not need to transfer the old one across. Its lead is 170 mm long to the grommet, matching the factory routing.
