A brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Polaris Scrambler 400 in both 2x4 and 4x4 form, the Sport 400 and the Trail Blazer. It is a six-wire assembly carrying both the alternator windings and the ignition source coil, and it is supplied on its own back plate so the whole unit swaps over as one piece.
Fitting is plug-and-play: the 104 mm outer diameter, the 43 mm bore and the four moulded plugs follow the factory pattern, and the harness runs to three different lengths of 1000 mm, 1100 mm and 1150 mm so each plug reaches its original connector without extending or shortening the loom. The windings are the highest grade copper insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, laid on the highest grade lamination stack, and the manufacturer states the quality exceeds the original equipment. The connector, the rubber grommet and the back plate are all included, and every unit is electrically tested before it is despatched.

Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct fit for the Polaris models listed above, supplied on its own back plate with all four plugs and the correct harness lengths, so it mates with the standard loom. No cutting or splicing is required. Confirm the part number on your original unit against the cross reference table before ordering.
What is included?
The stator on its back plate, the connector and the rubber grommet, all supplied fitted. The flywheel, the stator cover and its gasket are not included and should be reused from your machine.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
With a multimeter set to ohms, measure between the Yellow charging wires, which should read about 0.4 ohms, and between the Brown/White and Black/Red source wires, which should read about 125 ohms. Both carry a tolerance of plus or minus 20 per cent. Then check each wire against the stator body - any continuity to earth means a winding has shorted. A battery that goes flat on every ride, headlights that dim as the revs rise, or a machine that will not start when hot are the usual symptoms.
Why are the harness legs three different lengths?
The four plugs go to different points on the machine, so the factory harness runs to 1000 mm, 1100 mm and 1150 mm to reach each of them. This unit copies those lengths exactly, which is what allows it to be fitted without extending or shortening any leads.
