This is a brand new aftermarket stator for Sea-Doo 800 and 951 personal watercraft built between 1995 and 2005. It replaces the original charging coil that sits behind the flywheel and supplies the rectifier-regulator, so a weak or burnt out stator that leaves the battery flat, the lights dim or the ignition misfiring can be put right without hunting down a used original of unknown age.
The unit is wound with the highest grade copper, insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and built on high grade lamination material. One point to note on this part: you must re-install your own original connector and grommet onto the new stator, as shown in the product photographs. Once they have been transferred across, the part becomes a plug-and-play, direct fit unit that is very easy to install. Every stator is tested before it is shipped.

Does this stator fit without modification?
Yes, on the models and years listed above, with one preparation step. You must re-install your original connector and grommet onto the new stator, exactly as shown in the photographs. Once they are transferred across, the part is a direct fit and no cutting, drilling or rewiring of the loom is required.
What is included?
The stator itself. The connector and the rubber grommet are not supplied with this part number, because you reuse the ones from your original unit.
How can I tell my old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, weak or erratic spark, and a ski that runs briefly then dies. A resistance check across the two yellow wires should read close to 0.6 ohms, within 20 per cent. A reading far outside that figure, an open circuit, or continuity between any wire and the stator body all point to a failed winding.
Why does the temperature rating matter?
A stator lives behind the flywheel, where under-cover temperatures climb quickly and stay high. The windings on this unit are insulated to 200 degrees Celsius, which gives real headroom against the heat that breaks down lower grade wire enamel and causes a stator to short to earth.
