A brand new stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging and ignition unit fitted to Ski-Doo Formula, Grand Touring, MX Z and Summit snowmobiles built between 1998 and 2000. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit assembly that mounts in the factory position using the original fixings, so no modification to the engine, the flywheel or the wiring loom is required to install it.
The unit is built on the highest grade lamination material and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. The connector is supplied with the stator, so there is nothing to salvage from the old part before fitting. Every unit is bench tested before it is shipped. The stator carries six wires terminating in two plugs, with a short 200 mm lead to the first plug and a longer 370 mm lead to the second - check these lengths against your original unit before ordering.

How do I tell whether the old stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, a weak or intermittent spark, and a machine that cuts out once it warms up. Measure the resistance across the two yellow alternator wires and across the black/red to red source wires and compare the readings with the specification table above.
Why are the two plug leads different lengths?
The original Ski-Doo harness routes the alternator output and the source coil output to two separate connection points, so the leads are 200 mm and 370 mm respectively. Compare both lengths against your original stator to confirm you have the correct variant.
