This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Suzuki Burgman AN 650 maxi-scooter, built as a direct replacement for the original charging system stator. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: the mounting pattern, the wire lengths and the connectors follow the factory unit, so the job needs no drilling, cutting or alteration to the wiring harness. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied with the stator, so the ignition trigger and the charging winding are renewed together in one operation.
A Burgman 650 carries a heavy electrical load - fuel injection, the electronically controlled transmission, heated grips and lighting all draw from the same charging circuit - which is why the winding on this unit uses the highest grade of copper on the highest grade of lamination material and is rated to 200 degrees Celsius. Connectors and the rubber grommet are supplied so the loom can be sealed correctly on reassembly, and every unit is tested before it leaves the factory.

How can I tell that the old stator has failed?
A failing stator normally shows up as a battery that goes flat overnight or will not recover on a run, warning lights or dashboard glitches, and a scooter that eventually will not restart. Confirm it with a meter: the alternator should read about 0.4 ohms from one yellow wire to another, any yellow wire to ground should read open circuit, and the pick-up coil should read about 200 ohms blue to green. Readings well away from those figures, or continuity to ground, point to a failed winding.
Why does this stator have two different lead lengths?
The Burgman routes its charging and trigger leads to two separate connectors in different places on the machine, so the harness leaves the grommet as one 180 mm run and one 1000 mm run. Both are supplied at the correct length, which is why the part drops straight into the standard routing.
