An open circuit, a short to the stator core, or a reading well outside those bands indicates a failed unit.
Do I have to replace the pickup coil separately?
No. The pickup pulsar coil is supplied as part of this assembly, with its own 380 mm lead to the plug, so both the charging and the triggering side are renewed together.
