This is a brand new magneto stator (RMSTATOR part RM01071) supplied as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to the Suzuki KingQuad 400 across its long production run, from 2008 right through to 2024, in LTA, LTF and F variants. How do I know my old stator has failed?
Test cold with a multimeter. The alternator legs (Black to Black) should read about 0.4 ohms and the pickup (Blue to Green) about 196 ohms, each within plus or minus 20 percent. Also check from each winding to the stator body - that must be open circuit. A shorted or open winding, a battery that keeps going flat, or an intermittent no-start condition all point to a failed stator.
My KingQuad is a later model - will this still fit?
RMSTATOR list coverage from 2008 through to 2024 for the LTA and LTF 400 KingQuad, so late machines are included. The safest check is the OEM number on your existing stator: it should be 32101-27H10 or 32101-27H00.
