This is a brand new aftermarket stator for the Suzuki RM 125, supplied as a complete assembly with the pickup pulsar coil and back plate already fitted. On this machine the stator carries three separate windings on one plate: the alternator winding, the source coil that supplies the ignition, and the pickup coil that tells the CDI when to fire. A fault in any one of them shows up as a hard-starting engine, an intermittent misfire, or a bike that cuts out and will not restart until it cools.

Will I have to modify the bike or the loom?
No. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part. The plate, the six wires and the single plug match the original, so it fits the standard mounting position and connects to the existing harness with no cutting or splicing.
What is included in the box?

How do I test the old one before I strip the engine?
Unplug the connector and take three readings. Yellow to black/white should be about 0.4 ohms, red to green about 100 ohms, and black/red to red/white about 32 ohms, each within roughly 20 per cent. An open circuit on any of those pairs, or continuity from a winding wire to the engine casing, means the stator has failed.
Why does this stator have three different windings?
The RM 125 plate carries the alternator winding, the source coil for the ignition and the pickup coil that provides the trigger signal, all on the same assembly. That is why there are six wires rather than the usual three, and why all three resistance figures above need to be within tolerance for the engine to run correctly.
