Stator for Suzuki V-Strom 650 and DL650
V-Strom 650 / DL650 2007-2016 - Pickup Coil Included - Part RMS010-105036
This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging coil fitted to the Suzuki V-Strom 650, sold in most markets under its DL650 model code. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: it mounts on the original fixings and mates with the original wiring harness connectors, so no cutting, splicing, soldering or other modification is required to install it. The stator is what generates the machine's charging current, and once its windings start to break down the battery will no longer be kept topped up no matter how many miles you cover.
The unit is wound with the highest grade of copper, rated to 200 degrees Celsius, over a high grade lamination core, which is what lets it survive the heat inside the engine case far better than a tired original. A pickup coil, the connectors and a rubber grommet are supplied with it, so the whole assembly can be renewed in one go rather than reusing hardened rubber and heat-damaged plugs. Every unit is bench tested before it leaves the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. On the models and years listed in the fitment guide above it is a direct fit. It uses the original mounting points and the original harness connectors, so there is no cutting, splicing or soldering involved. Before ordering, please check the OEM number on the unit you are removing against the cross reference table.
What is included in the box?
The stator assembly, the pickup / pulsar coil, the connectors and the rubber grommet. That means the sealing grommet and the plugs are renewed at the same time as the windings, rather than reusing parts that have already been heat cycled for years.
How can I tell that my old stator has failed?
The classic symptoms are a battery that goes flat however far you ride, headlights that dim rather than brighten as the revs rise, and a charging voltage at the battery that never climbs above resting voltage. To confirm it electrically, unplug the stator and measure between any two yellow alternator wires: you should read about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and all three pairs should read the same. Measure the pickup coil from green to white: it should read about 200 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a reading well outside those figures, or any continuity between a winding and the stator body confirms failure.
Does it matter which of the four OEM numbers my bike has?
No. Suzuki revised the part number several times over the production run of the V-Strom 650, and this stator supersedes all four listed variants - 32101-17G10, 17G11, 17G12 and 17G13. Whichever of them is on your original unit, this is the correct replacement.
