This is a brand new aftermarket stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Yamaha Exciter 220 jet boat and the Wave Raider 1100 and Wave Venture 1100 cc personal watercraft. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part built to the original dimensions and wire lengths, so it mounts on the standard flywheel cover and plugs straight into the existing loom with no modification.
The stator carries both the alternator winding and the two source coils that feed the CDI, all wound with highest grade copper on highest grade lamination materials and resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. That temperature rating matters on these two-stroke 1100 cc engines, where a stator that is enclosed in a hot engine bay is the usual reason an original unit goes open circuit. The connector is included and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Does this need any modification to fit?
No. It is a direct, plug-and-play replacement built to the original 42 mm interior diameter, 107 mm exterior diameter and 10 mm thickness, with the original 123 mm and 93 mm wire runs and three original-style plugs. It fits the standard mounting and plugs into the untouched loom.
What is included?

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Test all three circuits with a multimeter. Green to green should read 0.8 ohms +/- 20%, black/red to blue should read 811 ohms +/- 20%, and black/red to red should read 208 ohms +/- 20%. An open circuit on any of these, a reading well outside tolerance, or continuity from a winding to the stator core means the unit has failed.
Why does this stator have two different source coil readings?
These 1100 cc Yamaha engines run a CDI ignition that is fed by two separate source coils on the stator plate as well as the lighting and charging winding. That is why one circuit reads 811 ohms and the other 208 ohms. A failure of either source coil will stop the engine running even if the charging side still tests correctly, so check all three circuits before condemning other parts.
