This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit in the Yamaha FJR 1300. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part supplied with the connectors and the rubber grommet, so it seats in the stator cover and plugs into the standard harness with no modification to the motorcycle.
The stator is wound on the highest grade of lamination materials using the highest grade of copper winding, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. It measures 126 mm on the exterior diameter with a 54 mm interior diameter and 22 mm of thickness, and carries 18 poles on a three-wire, three-pin single plug. The wire runs 120 mm from the clamp to the grommet and a further 800 mm from the grommet to the plug. Wire to wire resistance measures 0.6 ohms white to white, within plus or minus 20 per cent. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
The FJR 1300 is a heavy sports tourer that carries a substantial electrical load - heated grips, an adjustable screen, luggage lighting and often auxiliary lamps - all of which lean on the charging system. A stator that has started to break down here shows up as charging voltage that falls away as the engine warms, then as a battery that will not restart the bike after a fuel stop. Replacing the winding with a unit rated to 200 degrees Celsius restores full output with a better thermal margin.

Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct replacement for the original unit on the Yamaha FJR 1300 from 2006 to 2012. The connectors and the rubber grommet are supplied, so no cutting or splicing of the standard loom is needed. Check that the number on your original unit is 3P6-81410-00-00 before ordering.
What is included?
The stator with its three-wire lead terminated in a single three-pin plug, plus the connectors and the rubber grommet. A pick up pulsar coil is not part of this assembly.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
The classic pattern on a high-mileage FJR is charging voltage that is fine cold and drops away once the engine is hot, followed by a battery that will not turn the engine over after a stop. Measured cold, wire to wire resistance between the white leads should read about 0.6 ohms within plus or minus 20 per cent. Any lead that reads open circuit, or that shows continuity to the engine case, means the winding has broken down.
Does this stator include a pickup coil?
No. On the FJR 1300 the stator is a three-wire charging winding only, so this assembly is supplied without a pick up pulsar coil. It comes with the connectors and the rubber grommet.
