This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to Yamaha's 900 triple range, covering the FJ-09, FZ-09, MT-09, Tracer 900 and XSR 900. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, mounting in the standard position and connecting to the existing loom without cutting or modification. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied on the assembly, so the ignition trigger is renewed at the same time.
RMSTATOR rate this unit at 20 per cent more output over stock while working with all other OEM components, which gives useful extra headroom on a machine carrying added electrical load. It is built on the highest grade of lamination materials and wound with the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. Connectors and a rubber grommet are included, along with the opposite connector for the main harness side, because that connector is often melted, corroded or defective. All products shipped are tested.

Will it fit without modification?

What is included in the box?

How can I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Compare multimeter readings with the Technical Specs table above. The alternator windings should read about 0.5 ohms white to white and show an open line from any white wire to ground, and the pick-up should read about 272 ohms black to grey, each within 20 per cent. Continuity to ground or a reading far outside those figures indicates a failed unit.
Does the extra output cause any problem for the standard regulator rectifier?
No. RMSTATOR state that this unit delivers 20 per cent more output over stock and works with all other OEM components, so the standard regulator rectifier and battery are retained.
