A brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging winding on the Yamaha Venture and Venture Royale 1200 and 1300. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it mounts on the original fixings and connects to the original harness with no modification.
The 18-pole assembly measures 115 mm across the outside with a 55 mm interior diameter and a 40 mm thickness. Three wires run 110 mm from the stator to the grommet and a further 770 mm to a single three-pin plug, which is long enough to reach the original connector position on these touring models. The windings use the highest grade of copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade of lamination materials. Connectors and a rubber grommet are included, along with the opposite connector for the main harness side, because the original plug on these bikes often melts or corrodes. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

How can I tell my old stator has failed?
A battery that goes flat on a run, dim lights and charging voltage that stays at battery level with the engine running all point at the stator. On the bench, each pair of the three yellow wires should read about 0.4 ohms within 20 per cent, and none should show continuity to the core. Browned or melted pins in the three-pin plug are equally common on these models.
Why is an extra connector supplied?
The matching plug for the main harness side is included so that a connector damaged by heat or corrosion can be replaced at the same time as the stator, which avoids feeding a new winding through a plug that is already failing.
