Generator Stator for Yamaha WaveRunner FX and 230 Series
WaveRunner FX 1000, FX 1100 Cruiser HO, AR SX SR 230 HO, 212 SS X and 232 Limited - 2002-2010
This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, part number RMS010-101518, built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to Yamaha WaveRunner FX 1000 and FX 1100 Cruiser HO personal watercraft and to the AR, SX and SR 230 HO jet boats built between 2002 and 2010. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit assembly, so the original wiring loom, mounting points and connectors are used exactly as they were from the factory and no cutting, splicing or drilling is required.
The stator is wound with the highest grade copper and built on the highest grade lamination stack, with insulation rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. That temperature rating matters on a watercraft engine, where the stator sits inside a sealed case and has very little airflow around it. The assembly ships complete with its pickup pulsar coil already fitted, the connector, the rubber grommet, and an additional main harness side connector so a melted or corroded plug on the loom side can be renewed at the same time. Every unit is bench tested before it leaves the warehouse.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part that uses the original mounting points and the original connectors. No cutting, splicing or drilling is needed on a machine that came with the OEM part numbers listed above.
What is included?
The stator itself, the pickup pulsar coil, the connector, the rubber grommet, and an additional main harness side connector so you can renew the mating plug if it has melted or corroded.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure it cold with a multimeter and compare against the figures in the specification table. The alternator legs should read about 0.9 ohms green to green, pickup 1 about 518 ohms white to black and pickup 2 about 524 ohms red to black, all within 20%. An open circuit, a reading close to zero, or continuity between any winding and the stator core points to a failed unit. Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, a weak or intermittent spark, and hard starting.
Why does the winding temperature rating matter on a watercraft?
The stator lives inside a sealed magneto case with very little airflow, so heat builds up. Windings rated to 200 degrees Celsius hold their insulation under that load, which is what stops the shorted turns that kill a stator early.
