This is a brand new aftermarket stator, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Yamaha WR250F from 2005 to 2013. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it mounts on the original fixings behind the ignition cover and connects to the standard loom with no modification to the cases or the wiring. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
The stator is built on the highest grade of lamination materials and wound with the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius - an important detail on an enduro engine that spends long periods at low speed with little cooling airflow. The pick up pulsar coil is supplied with the assembly, so the ignition trigger is renewed at the same time as the charging coils. How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, a weak or intermittent spark, or a bike that cuts out once hot. A meter confirms it quickly: about 0.3 ohms white to yellow on the alternator side, open circuit (O.L) from white to ground, and about 292 ohms white to pink on the pickup. A reading well outside those figures means a shorted or open winding.
