A brand new aftermarket stator that is a direct replacement for the original charging and ignition unit on the Yamaha WR250F, WR450F, YZ250FX and YZ450FX. It is plug-and-play, a direct fit on the original mounting points, and is supplied with the pickup pulsar coil already fitted along with the connectors and a rubber grommet.
The winding is copper rated to 200 degrees C laid over highest-grade lamination material, which is what keeps output stable on an enduro engine that spends its life hot, wet and vibrating. Every unit is tested before it ships. On these models a failing stator normally shows up as a bike that will not keep the battery up, a weak or intermittent spark, or a machine that dies once it warms through.

How can I check whether my old stator has failed?
Use a multimeter across the two white alternator wires, which should read about 0.9 ohms, and across the dark grey and light grey pickup wires, which should read about 275 ohms. Both figures allow 20 percent either way. An open circuit, a near-zero reading, or continuity between any winding and the stator core all point to a failed unit.
Is the pickup pulsar coil part of this stator?
Yes. The pickup pulsar coil is supplied with the stator on this assembly, so the ignition trigger is replaced at the same time as the charging winding rather than being bought separately.
