This is a brand new 300 watt high output aftermarket stator, a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Yamaha YFM 250 Bear Tracker, Big Bear and Bruin and to the YFM 660 and 660R Raptor between 2001 and 2009. It gives 20 per cent more output over stock and works with all other OEM components, so it suits both a straight repair and a machine carrying extra load such as auxiliary lighting or a winch. Installation is plug and play and direct fit, using the original 94 mm outer diameter, 34 mm inner diameter and 13 mm thickness.
It is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. It comes complete with the pickup pulsar coil, connector and rubber grommet, and we have also included the opposite connector for the main harness side, because these are so often melted or corroded and cause repeated electrical problems. Every stator is tested before it ships.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this stator need any modification to fit?
No. It is a direct plug-in replacement and works with all other OEM components, so the flywheel, regulator rectifier, CDI and harness are all retained. Always use a locking compound when bolting the stator in.
What is included in the box?
The stator with pickup pulsar coil, connector and rubber grommet fitted, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side - included deliberately, because that plug is frequently melted or corroded and causes repeat charging faults if it is not renewed at the same time.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Check the AC output, then test the windings against the table above: 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent on the white alternator wires, 450 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent pickup blue to green, and 0.1 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent source black to red. Battery condition is extremely important, so fully charge it before testing or replacing parts.
What else should I check during installation?
Replace any burned or corroded connectors on the stator and regulator rectifier, repair any melted wiring, and use high temperature dielectric grease on all connectors. Set the pickup coil air gap no less than 0.010. Disconnect the battery before servicing.
