This is a brand new replacement stator for the Yamaha YFM 350 Big Bear, YFM 350 Moto-4 and YFM 350 Warrior built between 1988 and 1995. It is a direct replacement for your original unit, so once the old stator is out the new one sits in the same location, follows the same wire routing and meets the same harness plugs. No modification, no rewiring and no drilling are required.
The assembly is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The pick-up pulsar coil, the main connector and the rubber grommet are all supplied with the unit. We also include the opposite connector, the main harness side half of the plug, because on machines of this age that connector is very often melted, corroded or defective and is a major cause of repeat electrical faults. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

What is included in the box?

How can I tell that my old stator has failed?
Common signs are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, a machine that runs only while the battery still holds charge, or no spark at all. With the engine off and the unit unplugged, the two white alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms between them. The pick-up coil should read about 570 ohms from white to red, and the source coil about 315 ohms from brown to green. Readings well outside those figures, or any continuity from a winding to the stator body, point to a failed stator.
What size is the stator plate and how long are the leads?
The plate is 53 mm interior diameter, 115 mm exterior diameter and 13 mm thick. The lead from the stator to the grommet is 110 mm, the lead from the grommet to the plug is 500 mm, and the pick-up coil lead to the grommet is 130 mm.
