Stator with Pick-Up Pulsar Coil for Yamaha YFM 350 Moto 4 and YFP 350 Terrapro
Yamaha YFM 350 Moto 4 and YFP 350 Terrapro 1987-1989 - Part number RM01035
This is a brand new aftermarket stator assembly for the Yamaha YFM 350 Moto 4 and the YFP 350 Terrapro built between 1987 and 1989. It is a direct replacement for the original unit - plug and play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification required on the listed applications. The assembly is supplied complete with the pick-up pulsar coil already fitted, together with the connector and the rubber grommet.
The stator is the part of the charging system that generates the AC current used to charge the battery and to feed the ignition. When the windings break down you typically get a flat battery, a weak or intermittent spark, or charging that only comes in at high revs. This unit is built on highest grade laminations and wound with highest grade copper insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. On the applications listed above it is a plug and play direct fit replacement for the original unit, using the original mounting and the original connectors. No cutting, splicing or drilling is required.
What is included?
The stator, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet. The pick-up pulsar coil is part of this assembly, so it does not need to be bought separately.
How do I tell the old stator has failed?
Measure the resistances with the engine off and compare against the table above: alternator White to White should read 0.4 ohms, both pickup readings (Blue to Red and Yellow to White) 215 ohms, and the source coil Green to Brown 300 ohms, all within plus or minus 20 percent. A reading well outside those figures, an open circuit, or continuity from any winding to earth means the unit has failed.
Will a failed regulator damage a new stator?
It can. A shorted regulator or rectifier puts an abnormal load across the windings, so test the regulator before fitting a new stator or the replacement may fail the same way.
