This is a brand new high output stator for the Yamaha YFM 350 Bruin, Grizzly and Wolverine and the YFM 660 Grizzly and Rhino. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and fits plug and play, with no rewiring or modification needed. It produces 20 per cent more output than the stock stator while working with all the other OEM components in the charging and ignition system, so it suits a machine running a winch, extra lighting, heated grips or a plough.
The windings use the highest grade of copper and are rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade of lamination material. The assembly comes complete with the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet already fitted, and the matching connector for the main harness side is supplied too, which cures the melted and corroded plugs these machines are known for. Every stator is tested before it is shipped.

Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug and play direct replacement for the original stator on the models and years listed, and it works with all the other OEM components. No rewiring, no drilling and no adaptor plugs are needed. Check the number on your original unit against the cross reference table before ordering.
What is included?
You receive the stator with the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet already fitted, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side. The flywheel and the cover gasket are not included.
How do I know my stator has failed?
Measure the resistance across the three white alternator wires - each pair should read 0.6 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent, with no continuity to earth. The pick-up should read 501 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent between blue and green, and the position sensor 0.3 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent. A flat battery that will not hold charge, a burnt smell from the flywheel cover, or an open circuit on any winding all point to a failed stator.
Why is the extra harness connector supplied?
The original plug between the stator and the main harness on these Yamahas is a known weak point and often melts or corrodes. Supplying the matching half lets you renew both sides of the joint at the same time rather than fitting a new stator into a damaged plug.
