Stator for Yamaha YFM 700 Grizzly & Kodiak 4x4 2016-2018
Yamaha YFM 700 Grizzly and YFM 700 Kodiak 4x4 - 2016 to 2018 - Replaces B16-H1410-00-00
This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Yamaha YFM 700 Grizzly and YFM 700 Kodiak 4x4, built as a direct replacement for the original unit and supplied ready to fit. It is plug-and-play: the original style connector, the rubber grommet and the pick-up pulsar coil are all included, so there is no splicing, no drilling and no modification needed on the applications listed below.
The stator is the fixed set of windings inside the engine case that generates the AC current your charging system rectifies into DC. On an 18-pole unit like this one it feeds both the battery charging circuit and the ignition source coil, which is why a failing stator shows up as two separate complaints at once. Typical symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge, dim or flickering lights, a machine that only charges at high revs, or a weak and intermittent spark. This unit is wound with the highest grade of copper, insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and built on high grade lamination stock so it runs cooler and lasts longer than the part it replaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes, on the applications listed above. It is a direct replacement for the original unit with the same connector, the same rubber grommet and the same mounting, so no splicing or drilling is required. If you want to be certain before ordering, compare the OEM number B16-H1410-00-00 against the number stamped on your original unit.
What is included?
The stator itself, complete with the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet. Nothing further is needed to complete the swap.
How do I confirm my old stator has failed?
With the engine off, measure resistance between each pair of white wires. It should read about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. The source coil should read about 200 ohms from black to white. Any winding that reads open circuit, reads a dead short, or shows continuity to the stator body has failed.
Will a faulty regulator rectifier damage this new stator?
It can. A regulator that has shorted internally keeps the charging windings under continuous load and will eventually cook them. Once the new stator is fitted, check the charging voltage at the battery with the engine running - if it climbs well above the normal charging range, sort the regulator out before you lose the new stator the same way.
