It is a direct replacement for your original unit, so it uses the factory mounting points and the supplied connector plugs into the existing harness. No cutting, splicing or drilling is required.
The unit is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper windings, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius. How can I tell my old stator has failed?
Check it with a multimeter against the figures above. The alternator windings should read 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20% white to white, and the pick-up coil should read 500 ohms plus or minus 20% white to grey. Readings well outside those values, or continuity between a winding and the stator body, indicate a failed unit.
Do I need to buy the pick-up pulsar coil separately?
No. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied with this stator, as is the rubber grommet, so the assembly can be fitted complete.
