This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, supplied complete with its pick up pulsar coil, built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to the Yamaha YXZ 1000 R, YXZ 1000 R EPS and YXZ 1000 R SS from 2016 to 2018. It replaces OEM part number 2HC-81410-00-00. The unit is plug-and-play, a direct fit, and easy to install, so no changes to the wiring loom or the engine cases are needed.
Construction uses the highest grade of lamination materials and the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, which matters on a hard-worked three-cylinder sport side-by-side. The pick up pulsar coil, a connector and a rubber grommet are all included. All products shipped are tested. Our part number for this stator is RMS010-104898.

Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct fit on the YXZ 1000 R, EPS and SS from 2016 to 2018, and needs no cutting, splicing or drilling.
What is included?
The generator stator, the pick up pulsar coil, a connector and a rubber grommet.
How can I tell that my old stator has failed?
Unplug the stator and measure between each White wire on the alternator side: it should read 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20%. Light Grey to Dark Grey on the pick up coil should read 500 ohms, plus or minus 20%. Readings well outside those figures, a battery that will not stay charged, or an intermittent no-start when hot all point to a failed stator.
Why does this stator have three plugs?
The five wires are split across three plugs on the YXZ 1000 R: the alternator output and the pick up pulsar coil signal run to different points on the machine, so they leave the grommet as separate connections. The leads are cut to the original routing, 182 mm from the stator to the grommet and 763 mm from the grommet to the plugs.
