This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original charging unit on the Yamaha YZF R1. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part built to the original 42 mm interior diameter, 105 mm exterior diameter and 22 mm thickness, with the original 60 mm lead to the grommet and 280 mm run to the plug, so it bolts into the standard stator cover and connects to the untouched loom with no modification.
The unit is built on highest grade lamination materials and wound with highest grade copper windings that are resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. Alongside the stator, the connector and the rubber grommet, the opposite connector for the main harness side is also supplied. That connector is included deliberately, because on these bikes the original harness-side plug is very often found melted, corroded or defective and is a major cause of repeated electrical problems that come straight back after a new stator is fitted on its own. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Does this need any modification to fit?
No. It is a direct, plug-and-play replacement built to the original dimensions, wire lengths and three-pin plug, so it fits the standard stator cover and the original wiring route without cutting, splicing or drilling.
What is included in the box?
The stator, the connector, the rubber grommet and the opposite connector for the main harness side. Supplying both halves of the connection means the whole joint can be renewed in one go.
How do I know my original stator has failed?
Unplug it and measure between each pair of white wires with a multimeter. Every combination should read 0.5 ohms +/- 20%. An open circuit on any leg, a reading well outside that band, or continuity between any white wire and the stator core or engine case confirms a failed stator. A battery that will not hold charge and a charging voltage that stays at resting battery level when the revs are raised point to the same fault.
Why is a second connector supplied?
The main harness side plug on these machines is frequently melted, corroded or otherwise defective by the time the stator itself fails, and leaving it in place is a common reason electrical faults return shortly after a repair. The opposite connector is therefore included so both halves of the joint can be renewed together.
