Stator for Kawasaki Jet Ski 650 X-2 & TS Tandem Sport JF650
Kawasaki Jet Ski 650 X-2 JF650 and TS Tandem Sport JF650, 1991-1996
This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging and ignition source coil unit fitted to the Kawasaki Jet Ski 650 X-2 JF650 and the TS Tandem Sport JF650 personal watercraft built between 1991 and 1996. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part, so the original wiring loom, the mounting holes and the connector positions are all retained. No cutting, splicing or modification of the harness is required to fit it.
The unit is wound with the highest grade copper and built on the highest grade lamination materials, with insulation rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. That matters on a watercraft engine, where the stator sits inside a sealed flywheel housing and has no airflow to help it shed heat. The part supplied is RM01529 and it arrives complete with its connector, two rubber grommets and the back plate. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
Key Features
- Direct replacement for the original stator - plug and play, no modification needed

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this stator need any modification to fit?
No. This is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement. The mounting pattern, the wire routing and the connector all match the original unit fitted to the 650 X-2 and TS Tandem Sport, so it goes straight into the flywheel housing and plugs into the existing harness.
What is included in the box?
You receive the stator itself, the connector, two rubber grommets and the back plate. Nothing else is needed to complete the swap beyond the usual gasket sealant and your own tools.
How can I tell my old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not stay charged, weak or intermittent spark, or a machine that runs briefly and then dies. You can check the unit with a multimeter: the alternator winding should read about 2.0 ohms brown to brown, and the source coil about 320 ohms purple to black/yellow, both within plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a short, or any continuity between a winding and the stator body means the stator has failed.
Will it replace Kawasaki part 21003-3716?
Yes. This unit cross-references Kawasaki part numbers 21003-3716, 21003-3718 and 21003-3713. Check the number stamped or printed on your original stator before ordering to be certain you have the right variant.
