Honda NX125 Transcity, Denso type, 1988-1990 - OEM 31120-KW8-902
This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the Denso type generator coil fitted to the Honda NX 125 Transcity. It arrives complete and ready to fit, so the tired original can be unbolted and this unit dropped straight into place without cutting, splicing or otherwise modifying the standard wiring loom. The windings are made to the same electrical specification as the factory part, which means charging output, source coil output and ignition behaviour all stay as Honda originally intended.
Construction uses the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. Those are precisely the two areas where an ageing original stator normally gives up, so both have been addressed. A connector and a rubber grommet are supplied in the box, letting you seal the harness properly on reassembly instead of reusing a grommet that has gone hard and cracked with age. Readings well outside those figures, or continuity between any winding and the stator core, point to a failed unit.
What size is the stator?
It measures 88 mm across the outside, 35 mm across the inner bore and 17.8 mm thick. The wiring runs 60 mm from the stator body to the grommet and a further 380 mm from the grommet to the plug, matching the standard routing.
