This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda PS and SH scooter range. Installation is plug-and-play: the stator arrives with its connector and rubber grommet already fitted, so it drops straight into the magneto cover with no splicing or rewiring. The stator is the fixed set of windings that the flywheel spins around, and it generates the alternating current that the regulator-rectifier converts into the DC that charges the battery and runs the lights and ignition.
It is wound using the highest grade of lamination materials and the highest grade of copper winding, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. The stator body measures 95 mm across the outside and 35 mm across the inside with a 20 mm thickness, and carries three wires into a single three-pin plug. Alternator resistance measured between each of the yellow wires is 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent. The package also includes the opposite connector for the main harness side, which addresses the corrosion commonly found in that plug. All products shipped are tested.

Does this need any modification to fit?
No. It is a plug-and-play direct fit for the original stator, supplied with the correct three-pin connector and the rubber grommet already in place, so no cutting, soldering or rewiring is needed. Take the opportunity to clean the mating face of the magneto cover and route the lead exactly as the original was routed.
What comes in the box?
The stator itself with its connector and rubber grommet fitted, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side of the plug.
How can I tell my stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dimming or flickering lights that get worse as the engine warms up, and a machine that runs only until the battery is flat. On the bench, measure between the yellow wires with the engine off: a healthy unit here reads around 0.4 ohms, while an open circuit or a reading to earth indicates a burnt or shorted winding.
Why is a second connector supplied?
The harness-side plug on these scooters is a known corrosion point, and a green or melted connector will drop voltage even with a perfect stator fitted. RMSTATOR therefore include the opposite connector so the whole joint can be renewed rather than just the stator.
