Brand new stator for the Honda TRX 350 Rancher in FE, FM, TE and TM specification, built as a direct replacement to your original unit. It is plug-and-play, a direct fit and an easy installation: the 18-pole core drops into the original position and the six-wire harness ends in the original two plugs, so the loom does not need cutting, splicing or re-pinning.
The unit is wound with the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on the highest grade lamination materials. How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
A flat battery, dim or flickering lights, and charging voltage that stays down at battery level as the engine is revved all point at the stator. Test it cold with a multimeter: the alternator windings should read 0.4 ohms +/-20% between the Yellow wires, the source coil 0.4 ohms +/-20% from Green to ground, and every Yellow wire must read O.L - open circuit - to ground. Any Yellow wire showing continuity to ground means a winding has shorted to the core and the stator has to be replaced.
