Generator Stator for Honda TRX 420 Rancher
Honda TRX 420 Rancher FE, FM, TE, TM, FPE and FPM, 2007-2013 - pick-up pulsar coil included
This is a brand new generator stator for the Honda TRX 420 Rancher in FE, FM, TE, TM, FPE and FPM specification, covering model years 2007 to 2013. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core uses the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is where lower quality rewinds typically fail again.
The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied as part of the assembly, along with the connector and the rubber grommet, so the complete unit fits as one piece with nothing to salvage from the old stator. It is a five-wire, single-plug, five-pin assembly that matches the factory routing, with 110 mm of lead from the stator to the grommet and 290 mm from the grommet to the plug. All product shipped is tested. All item pictures are accurate - if you are in any doubt, compare the item to your original part before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original Honda unit across the FE, FM, TE, TM, FPE and FPM variants, so no cutting, splicing or drilling is required. Confirm the OEM part number on your original stator against the cross reference table above before ordering.
What is included?
The generator stator, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet, supplied as one assembly ready to fit.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
The common symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, lights that vary in brightness with engine speed, or no spark at all if the pick-up coil has gone open circuit. Test against the specification table: the Yellow alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent wire to wire, and the pick-up about 275 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent from Green to Blue/Yellow. Readings far outside those, or continuity from a winding to the stator body, confirm a failure.
Does the same part cover both the manual and the electric shift Ranchers?
Yes. RMSTATOR lists this stator for the FE, FM, TE, TM, FPE and FPM versions of the TRX 420 Rancher between 2007 and 2013, which covers the manual, electric shift and power steering variants over that span. Check the OEM number on your unit if you are unsure which specification your machine is.
