Honda TRX 680 Rincon, 2006-2014 - pick-up pulsar coil, connector and grommet included
This is a brand new alternator stator for the Honda TRX 680 Rincon, covering model years 2006 to 2014. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is where lower quality rewinds tend to break down and fail again.
The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied as part of the assembly, together with the connector and the rubber grommet already fitted, so the complete unit goes in as one piece and nothing has to be salvaged from the old stator. We also include the opposite connector from the main harness side, because those plugs are often found melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repetitive electrical issues that outlast the stator itself. What is included?
The alternator stator, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet, all supplied as a single assembly, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not hold charge, lights that dim or brighten with engine speed, or a no-spark condition where the pick-up coil has gone open circuit. With a multimeter, the three Yellow alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent between each other, and the pick-up should read about 196 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent from Blue/Yellow to White/Green. Readings well outside those, or continuity from any winding to the stator body, mean the unit has failed.
Why does it come with a spare connector?
The harness-side plug takes the same heat and current as the stator plug. If it is already melted or corroded, fitting a new stator into it simply reproduces the fault, so the matching main harness connector is supplied to let you renew both halves at the same time.
