The RM01112 is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Kawasaki KAF 450 Mule 1000 built between 1994 and 1997. It is a direct replacement for the original magneto charging coil, so it mounts in the standard position and connects to the existing wiring. Installation is plug-and-play and direct fit, with no cutting, drilling or splicing needed.
The unit is built on the highest grade lamination material and wound with the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The connector and the rubber grommet are included in the box. How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Disconnect the stator plug and measure across the three White wires with a multimeter. A healthy winding reads about 1.2 ohms between each pair, within 20 percent. Also check each White wire to ground, which should show no continuity. An open circuit between phases, a short to ground, or readings well away from 1.2 ohms mean the stator has failed. A battery that will not hold charge while the machine is running points to the same fault.
Why does the harness-side connector matter?
The three-pin joint between the stator and the main harness carries the full charging current, so heat and corrosion build up there. Fitting a new stator into an already damaged harness connector often causes the fault to return. RMSTATOR supply the opposite connector so both halves can be renewed together.
