High Output Stator for Kawasaki KVF 360 & KVF 400 Prairie
Kawasaki KVF 360 Prairie and KVF 400 Prairie, 1999-2013 - 20 per cent more output over stock
This is a brand new high output aftermarket stator for the Kawasaki KVF 360 Prairie and KVF 400 Prairie, covering model years 1999 to 2013. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and straightforward to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, which is where cheaper rewinds typically fail.
This unit delivers 20 per cent more output over stock while continuing to work with all of your other OEM components, so there is no need to change the regulator rectifier or the battery alongside it. The connector and the rubber grommet are supplied already fitted. We also include the opposite connector from the main harness side, because that plug is very often found melted, corroded or otherwise defective and is a major cause of repeat electrical faults. Every product shipped is tested, and all item pictures are accurate - if you are in any doubt, compare the item to your original part before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original unit, so no cutting, splicing or drilling is required. Please confirm the OEM part number on your original stator against the cross reference table above before ordering.
What is included?
The stator itself with its connector and rubber grommet already fitted, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side. That second connector is supplied because the harness-side plug is so often melted or corroded by the time the stator fails.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not hold its charge, lights that dim or flicker as engine speed changes, or a machine that runs only until the battery is flat. You can check the unit with a multimeter using the figures in the specification table: White to White should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent, and any White wire to ground should show O.L. on the display. A reading well outside those values, or continuity to ground, points to a failed winding.
What does the 20 per cent extra output actually mean?
This stator is wound to produce around a fifth more charging output than the standard Kawasaki unit, which gives useful headroom if you run a winch, heated grips or auxiliary lighting. It works with all other OEM components, so your existing regulator rectifier and battery can stay exactly as they are.
