Stator for Polaris Ranger, RZR, RZR 4 & Sportsman 700 / 800
Polaris Ranger, RZR, RZR 4 and Sportsman 700 / 800, 2006-2017 - connector and grommet included
This is a brand new stator for the Polaris Ranger, RZR, RZR 4 and Sportsman 700 / 800, covering model years 2006 to 2017. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is the point at which cheaper rewound stators tend to break down and fail a second time.
This is a compact four-wire, single-plug, four-pin assembly with short leads - 50 mm from the stator to the grommet and 140 mm from the grommet to the plug - matching the original routing on these engines. The connector and the rubber grommet are included. Please note that this listing covers the stator only; RMSTATOR supplies the complete stator and flywheel kit separately under RMS900-108154 or RMS900-108990. All product shipped is tested, and all item pictures are accurate - if in doubt, compare the item to your original part before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original Polaris unit, so no cutting, splicing or drilling is needed. This part spans a wide range of models and a long production run, so please confirm the OEM part number on your original stator against the cross reference table above before ordering.
What is included?
The stator with its connector and rubber grommet. This listing is for the stator on its own - the flywheel is not included. RMSTATOR sells the complete stator and flywheel kit separately as RMS900-108154 or RMS900-108990.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Typical signs are a battery that will not stay charged, lights that dim or brighten with engine speed, or a machine that runs only until the battery is exhausted. Test with a multimeter: Yellow to Yellow should read about 0.5 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent. An open circuit, a shorted winding, or continuity from a Yellow wire to the stator body all point to a failed unit.
Do I need to replace the flywheel at the same time?
Not necessarily. If the flywheel magnets are intact and securely bonded, the stator can be replaced on its own. If the magnets have come loose or broken up - which often happens alongside a burnt stator - the flywheel needs replacing too, and the combined kit is the part to look for.
