Brand new aftermarket generator stator covering a wide span of Polaris ATV and utility machines built between 2004 and 2014 - the ATP 500, the Hawkeye 400, the Ranger 400, 425 and 500, and the Sportsman 400, 450 and 500. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, built with higher grade electric components than the part it replaces.
The windings are the highest grade copper, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The pick-up pulsar coil and the grommet are supplied with the stator, and all products are tested before shipping. Note that the stator-to-regulator connector must be reinstalled for the unit to work correctly. This part carries the reference RM01283 and cross-references five Polaris OEM numbers, listed below.

Will it fit without modification?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the original unit on the eight Polaris models listed above. One point to watch: the stator-to-regulator connector has to be reinstalled for the stator to function properly, so do not leave it disconnected or bypassed during the fit.

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
The classic symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge, dim or flickering lights, weak or intermittent spark, and charging voltage that does not climb as the engine is revved. Confirm it with a multimeter on a cold engine: the alternator windings should read 0.4 ohms +/-20% between the Yellow wires and the pickup 100 ohms +/-20% between White and White/Red. An open circuit, a dead short, or continuity from a winding to the stator body means the unit has failed.
Why does the harness have eleven wires and six plugs?
This Polaris platform runs the three alternator phases, the pick-up pulsar coil and the auxiliary circuits through one loom, which is why the count is eleven wires across six plugs and nine pins. The harness runs 100 mm from the stator to the grommet and a further 1000 mm from the grommet to the plugs, matching the original routing so everything reaches its standard position.
