This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Polaris Predator 500, covering the 2003 and 2004 model years. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature at which lesser rewinds typically begin to break down.
This is a nine-wire assembly running through four plugs and fourteen pins, and it carries the alternator windings, the pick-up pulsar coil and the source coil circuit. The pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet are all included, so the complete unit fits as one piece with nothing to transfer from the old stator. Every product shipped is tested. What is included?

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not stay charged, lighting that dims or surges with engine speed, or a no-spark condition. Test with a multimeter against the specification table: the Yellow alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent between each other, the pick-up about 200 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent from White to White/Red, and the source coil about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent from Green to Blue. An open circuit or continuity to the stator body confirms a failed winding.
Why are the plug leads different lengths?
This assembly runs four separate plugs to different points on the machine, so the leads from the grommet measure 750 mm, 400 mm and 600 mm. Those lengths match the original routing, so the harness sits where the factory loom clips expect it.
