This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator for the Polaris Sawtooth 200 and Phoenix 200, covering model years 2005 to 2024. It is a direct replacement for your original unit - plug-and-play, direct fit and easy to install, with no modification needed to the wiring loom or the engine cases. The core is built from the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is where lower grade rewinds typically break down and fail again.
The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied as part of the assembly, together with the connector and the rubber grommet, so the complete unit fits as one piece and nothing needs to be transferred from the old stator. It is a five-wire, single-plug, five-pin assembly with 110 mm of lead from the stator to the grommet and 560 mm from the grommet to the plug, matching the original routing. How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Watch for a battery that will not stay charged, lighting that dims or surges with engine speed, or a no-spark condition where the pick-up coil has gone open circuit. Test against the figures above: the Yellow alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent between each other, and the pick-up about 150 ohms plus or minus 20 per cent from Blue/White to Green/Ground. Readings well outside those, or continuity to the stator body, confirm a failed winding.
