This is a brand new pick-up pulsar coil, supplied so that a stator assembly can be repaired rather than replaced. The pick-up coil is the small trigger coil that tells the ignition when to fire, and on many of these Arctic Cat machines it is the part that fails first while the rest of the stator is still perfectly serviceable. RMSTATOR supply it separately because the individual coil is often unavailable from the OEM manufacturer.
The coil measures 25 mm long by 22 mm wide by 18 mm high, with a bracket spacing of 30 mm centre to centre and a 370 mm wire tail, so it drops into the original bracket position on the stator plate. It carries two wires and two pins, and reads 120 ohms with a 20 per cent tolerance between the brown and green/white leads. All products shipped are tested before dispatch.

Will this fit without modification?
It is sized to the original coil, with a 30 mm centre to centre bracket spacing and a 370 mm wire tail, so it mounts in the original position on the stator plate. Arctic Cat used several part numbers across this period, so check the OEM number on your original coil against the cross reference table above before ordering.
What is included?
The pick-up pulsar coil on its own. It is sold as a repair item for an existing stator assembly, not as a complete stator, so the stator plate, windings and loom stay on the machine.
How do I know my old pick-up coil has failed?
The usual symptoms are no spark, spark that comes and goes as the engine heats up, or a machine that will crank but not fire. Measure between the brown and green/white wires with a multimeter: a healthy coil reads 120 ohms with a 20 per cent tolerance. An open circuit or a reading well outside that band means the coil has failed.
Why replace only the coil instead of the whole stator?
On these machines the pick-up coil frequently fails while the charging windings are still good. Replacing just the coil is cheaper and quicker than a complete stator, and RMSTATOR supply it separately for exactly that reason - the individual coil is often not available from the OEM manufacturer.
