A brand new RMSTATOR stator for the Ski-Doo Citation, Formula Mach 1 and Tundra sleds of the late 1980s and early 1990s, supplied complete with its back plate. Re-install your original connector and grommet and the unit becomes a plug-and-play, direct fit that is very easy to install.
The windings are the highest grade copper on the highest grade lamination materials, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, and every unit is tested before it ships. No. The stator comes with its back plate and is a direct fit. You re-install your original connector and grommet, after which it is a plug-and-play unit that is very easy to install.

How do I confirm the old stator has failed?
Check the three circuits with a multimeter. The alternator should read 0.4 ohms +/-20% from Yellow to Yellow/Brown, the source coil 126 ohms +/-20% from Black to Black/Yellow, and the second source coil 122 ohms +/-20% from Black to Black/Red. A circuit reading open, shorted, or well away from these values has failed.
My sled is the right model and year - is that enough to be sure?
Not on its own. RMSTATOR specifically recommends comparing the photographs with your original part first, because engines and ignition components on sleds of this era were frequently swapped between machines. Checking OEM number 410914200 against your original unit is the safest confirmation.
