Stator for Ski-Doo Alpine, Cheyenne, Safari and Skandic Snowmobiles
Alpine 503 and Cheyenne 503 1991, Safari L and Skandic II 377 1991-1994 - RMSTATOR RM01335
A brand new aftermarket stator for the Ski-Doo Alpine 503, Cheyenne 503, Safari L and Skandic II 377 snowmobiles of the early 1990s. It is supplied with the back plate, and RMSTATOR also include the opposite connector - the main harness side half - because on machines of this age that connector is very often melted, corroded or defective and is a common cause of repeat electrical faults.
Please read this before ordering: you must re-install your original connector and grommet onto this stator, as shown in the photographs on this listing. Once your original connector and grommet have been transferred, the part becomes a plug-and-play unit that is a direct fit and very easy to install. The stator uses higher grade electrical components and is wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a straight plug-in replacement?
Almost. You must first re-install your original connector and grommet onto the new stator, as shown in the photographs on this listing. Once that is done the part is plug-and-play, a direct fit in the original position, and very easy to install with no modification to the engine or the flywheel.
What is included in the box?
The stator itself, the back plate, and the opposite connector for the main harness side. The original grommet and connector from your old unit must be transferred across. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
How do I tell whether the old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not hold charge, dim or flickering lights, weak or intermittent spark, and cutting out when hot. Measure yellow to yellow/black for the alternator winding and white to green for the source coil, and check that both alternator wires read open circuit to ground, then compare with the specification table above.
Where does the earth connection go?
The ground is taken through the ring terminal on the brown wire. Note also that the white source coil wire is grounded on this stator, which is normal for these models and should not be read as a fault.
