This is a brand new stator and gasket kit for the Yamaha YFM 350 Moto 4 and YFP 350 Terrapro built between 1987 and 1989. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and installs plug-and-play, a direct fit requiring no modification. Supplying the stator crankcase cover gasket alongside the stator means the cover can be resealed properly on reassembly rather than reusing a gasket that has already been crushed once.
The stator is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with copper resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The pickup coil, connector and rubber grommet are all included. This is a full nine-wire assembly running through four plugs and eight pins, carrying the alternator charging winding, two separate pickup circuits and a source coil, so it replaces the complete generator side in one part rather than as separate components.

How can I tell my old stator has failed?
Test each circuit with a multimeter against the Technical Specs table. The white alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms between each other, both pickup circuits about 215 ohms, and the green to brown source coil about 300 ohms, each within plus or minus 20 percent. Any circuit reading open, shorted to the engine case, or well outside tolerance has failed. A flat battery after running, an intermittent misfire, or no spark at all are the usual signs.
Do I have to replace the gasket at the same time?
Fitting the stator means removing the crankcase cover, and a used gasket rarely seals reliably a second time. The correct gasket, Yamaha 3GD-15451-00-00, is included in this kit so the cover can be resealed properly without a separate order.
