This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator covering the Suzuki GS 500 and GS 500F from 2001 to 2009 and the Kawasaki Voyager ZN 1300 from 1983 to 1988. It replaces the original three-phase charging winding behind the alternator cover and restores full charging output to a machine that is running its battery flat.
The original connector and grommet are reinstalled onto the new unit during fitting. Once transferred, it is a plug-and-play, direct-fit component with no modification to the wiring loom. Higher grade electrical components are used throughout, and the copper winding is rated to 200 degrees Celsius, which matters on a stator that sits in engine oil at sustained temperature. What is included in the box?

How can I tell my old stator has failed?
Unplug the three yellow wires and measure between each pair with a multimeter. Each pair should read about 0.9 ohms, within plus or minus 20 percent. Then measure each yellow wire to the engine case: all three should read open line. A pair reading open circuit, or any wire showing continuity to ground, means the winding has broken down. A battery that goes flat on a ride is the usual first symptom.
Why does one stator cover both a Suzuki and a Kawasaki?
