Stator for Yamaha YFM 350 Big Bear and YFM 350 Wolverine
Yamaha YFM 350 Big Bear and YFM 350 Wolverine - 1997 to 2001
This is a brand new aftermarket stator for the Yamaha YFM 350 Big Bear and YFM 350 Wolverine of 1997 to 2001. It is a direct replacement for your original unit: the plate uses the same mounting, the leads follow the same routing and the plugs meet the existing harness, so fitting is plug-and-play with no modification, no rewiring and no drilling.
The assembly is built on the highest grade of lamination materials and wound with the highest grade of copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. The pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet are all included. We have even included the opposite connector, the main harness side of the joint, as these are often melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repetitive electrical issues. All products shipped are tested. Note that this 1997 to 2001 unit has a 54 mm interior diameter and a 0.9 ohm alternator winding, which distinguishes it from the earlier YFM 350 stators.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original Yamaha unit on the 1997 to 2001 YFM 350 Big Bear and Wolverine, with the same mounting, the same seven wire layout and the same two plugs. Nothing needs to be cut, drilled or re-wired. Please confirm the OEM part number on your original stator against the cross reference table before ordering.
What is included in the box?
The stator, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector, the opposite connector for the main harness, and the rubber grommet.
How can I tell that my old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, an engine that runs only until the battery is drained, or a complete loss of spark. With the engine off and the unit unplugged, the white alternator wires should read about 0.9 ohms between them, the pick-up about 200 ohms from white to red, and the source coil about 308 ohms from green to brown. Readings well outside those figures, or continuity from a winding to the stator body, indicate a failed stator.
How do I know I am ordering the right YFM 350 stator?
Yamaha changed this stator during the life of the YFM 350. The 1997 to 2001 unit has a 54 mm interior diameter, a 0.9 ohm alternator winding and the 4KB series part numbers listed above. Earlier Big Bear, Moto-4 and Warrior machines take a different stator, so measure the centre bore and check the number stamped on your original before ordering.
