The RM01037 is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original generator coil fitted to the 1999 Yamaha YFM 400 Kodiak 4x4. Open circuit, shorted or badly out-of-range readings indicate a failed stator.
Why is a second connector supplied?
The connector on the main harness side is often melted, corroded or damaged by the time a stator fails, and a poor connection there causes repeat electrical problems. RMSTATOR supply the opposite connector so that both halves of the joint can be renewed at the same time.
