This is a brand new stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit fitted to the Yamaha YZF R6 and YZF R6S between 2003 and 2009. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part that uses the factory mounting pattern and the standard three-pin connector, so no cutting, splicing or modification of the wiring loom is required.
Alongside the stator itself, the connector and the rubber grommet, this kit also includes the opposite connector - the main harness side plug. That is a deliberate addition: on this generation of R6 the harness-side connector is frequently found melted, corroded or partly burnt, and it is a major cause of repeat electrical faults where a newly fitted stator appears to fail again within a few thousand miles. Replacing both halves at the same time removes that failure point. The stator is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, insulated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, and every unit shipped is tested first.

What is included in the box?
The stator, the connector, the rubber grommet and the opposite connector for the main harness side. Every unit is tested before shipment.
How do I confirm my old stator has failed?
Unplug the three-pin connector and measure between each pair of white wires. A healthy unit reads about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, on all three pairs, with no continuity to the engine case. An open circuit, a short to earth, or an uneven set of readings means the windings have gone.
Why should I fit the harness-side connector as well?
Because on this model the main harness plug is often already damaged. Heat and vibration cook the terminals, and a partly melted or corroded plug adds resistance that overheats the new stator and causes the same fault to come back. Fitting the supplied opposite connector at the same time removes that risk.
